A Mothers Cooperative in the Arts

Karoline Wileczek

I make my art in series mostly. This gives me a chance to explore the various ideas that peak my interest and to make jumps in media and method. I believe there is room for all my ponderings to find a place, be expressed, allowed to fail, feed new leanings and at times snap into flame and get there. There being good painting or real painting or some thing that satisfys. At the moment and over time some of my interests are – flatness and depth, unexpected color pullings, focused attention, social politics, mystery, hilarity, geology and emotion.

Karoline lives with her two children, husband, and art on the east coast. Schooling has included Tyler School of Art and the University of MN ; BFA and MFA respectively.
